No big news - just letting you know that I'm recovering well and am feeling better and stronger each day.
Yesterday's big triumph was taking a shower. I'm doing exercises to regain range of motion in my right arm (that will take a while). I eat, I take pain pills, I take little walks, I read, I nap. It's a super exciting life.
B. and the girls have been extremely helpful, as has "The Village". This means you! Thank you.
Why Am I Writing This Blog?
There's nothing more important to me than my connections with family and friends.
So in an effort to stay connected I'll be posting updates about my treatment and health here. Of course I want to connect with you outside of this blog! But this is a quick way you can find out what's happening.
Also a request: I would appreciate it if you didn't post anything on Facebook about cancer and me.
Writing has always been a natural form of self-expression for me. So this blog is also a personal outlet, one I'd like to share with you.

Actually, allowing for pain and various issues(some of which, as you noted, ain't necessarily for public awareness), recovery has its good side--lots of reading time! But maybe it's different for a mom...anyway, I'm so pleased that you came through it so well. Makes me think of Duke Ellington's motto: Onward and upward! (This is Jeff Thomas, even tho I'm signing as anonymous, because I couldn't figure out the "Comment as" box. I didn't seem to have the particulars required for any of the options available.)
